Of all of the lines in Springsteen’s “Atlantic City”, the lyric, “Everything that dies someday comes back,” is the one I find to be most evocative and haunting. The song, hailing from Springsteen's raw and deeply human masterpiece, “Nebraska”, has been reimagined in various forms — from The Band's notable rendition to The Boss's powerful live performance, and numerous other artists giving it their own interpretation.
